What are CRB and DBS?

CRB
A Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check is a process for gathering information about someone’s criminal convictions and other cautions, reprimands and final warnings given by the Police.

DBS
A Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) check replaced the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check on 1st December 2012 because the Criminal Records Bureau merged with the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).
